pas·pal·ism (pasґpəl-iz-əm) poisoning of livestock by ingestion of excessive amounts of Paspalum commersonii or P. scrobiculatum, grasses containing neurotoxic hydrocarbons; characteristics include tremor, convulsions, and coma. See also paspalum staggers, under staggers.
