em·bry·o·ma (em″bre-oґmə) any neoplasm thought to be derived from embryonic cells or tissues, such as a dermoid cyst, teratoma, primitive neuroectodermal tumor, embryonal carcinoma or sarcoma, nephroblastoma, or hepatoblastoma. Called also embryonal tumor.
