Tropheryma
Tro·phe·ry·ma (tro-ferґĭ-mə) [troph- + Gr. eryma barrier] a genus of gram-positive, soil-dwelling bacteria of the family Cellulomonadaceae, consisting of aerobic, nonmotile, short, filamentous rods. T. whipґplei, the type species, is the cause of Whipple disease.
