tractus posterolateralis
[TA] posterolateral tract: a group of nerve fibers in the lateral funiculus of the spinal cord immediately external to the posterior horn, composed in part of primary pain and temperature fibers which enter the spinal cord, travel the distance of a few segments in the dorsolateral tract, and then synapse in the posterior horn. Called also dorsolateral fasciculus or tract and Lissauer marginal zone.
