Gjessing syndrome

Gjessing syndrome
recurrent episodes of stupor or excitement occurring in catatonic schizophrenia in association with variations in nitrogen metabolism and thyroid hormone level; it is related to nitrogen retention caused by inadequate metabolism of dietary protein.
