flexor hinge splint
a dynamic type of wrist-hand orthosis for a weak or paralyzed hand, activated by movements of the wrist; metacarpophalangeal flexion is accomplished via a spring and hinge mechanism when the wrist extends. Called also flexor hinge orthosis.
