Sphingobacterium

Sphingobacterium
Sphin·go·bac·te·ri·um (sfing″go-bak-tērґe-əm) a genus of gram-negative, aerobic or facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped bacteria of the family Flavobacteriaceae, characterized by production of a yellow pigment. They were formerly considered part of the genus Flavobacterium and are opportunistic pathogens in humans.
