[USP] a colorless to slightly yellow, clear, effervescent liquid, with a sweet, acidulous taste and a lemon flavor, prepared using magnesium carbonate, anhydrous citric acid, syrup, talc, lemon oil, potassium bicarbonate, and purified water; used as a cathartic.
