Solpugida
Sol·pu·gida (sol″pu-jidґə) the jointed spiders, a family of hairy spiders that are differentiated from other spiders by having a segmented abdomen more broadly joined to the cephalothorax; solpugids can inflict deep painful bites and are found mainly in desert, tropical, and subtropical areas.
