reoxygenation
re·ox·y·gen·a·tion (re-ok″sĭ-jə-naґshən) in radiobiology, the phenomenon in which hypoxic (and thus radioresistant) tumor cells become more exposed to oxygen (and thus more radiosensitive) by coming into closer proximity to capillaries after death and loss of other tumor cells due to previous irradiation.
