- pseu·do·my·ce·to·ma (soo″do-mi″sə-toґmə) 1. a rare fungal infection of the dermis and subcutis with Microsporum canis, seen in Persian cats. 2. skin lesions in humans caused by infection with Microsporum canis, characterized by a tender, pruritic rash; it is seen most often in immunocompromised persons.
