RNA processing

RNA processing
modification of a primary transcript to create a functional RNA molecule; alterations vary by type of RNA and between prokaryotes and eukaryotes but include trimming of the ends, addition of a 5′ cap and a polyadenylate tail, removal of introns, and modification of bases.
