- pre·clot·ting (pre-klotґing) the forcing of a patient's blood through the interstices of a knitted vascular prosthesis prior to implantation to render the graft temporarily impervious to blood by disposition of fibrin and platelets in the interstices; after implantation fibrous ingrowth from the recipient replaces the fibrin-platelet network.
