okadaic acid
oka·da·ic ac·id (o-kə-dāґik) a polyether fatty acid that inhibits protein phosphatase and promotes tumor formation; it is found in protozoa of the genera Dinophysis and Prorocentrum, and is the toxin responsible for diarrhetic shellfish poisoning (see under poioning).
