[TA] sacral parasympathetic nuclei: a group of nerve cells in the second through the fourth sacral segments of the spinal cord, located lateral to the central canal and central gelatinous substance, between the bases of the anterior and posterior gray columns; the cells are the source of the pelvic or sacral outflow of parasympathetic preganglionic fibers.
