lipid myopathy
any metabolic myopathy caused by a defect in fatty acid oxidation, with the accumulation of triglycerides in muscle; manifestations depend on the specific enzyme deficiency and include limb and respiratory weakness, cardiomyopathy, encephalopathy, and myoglobinuria.
