mono·eth·yl·gly·cine·xy·li·dide (MEGX) (mon″o-eth″əl-gli″sēn-ziґlĭ-dīd) the principal active metabolite of lidocaine, produced in the liver; measurement of the conversion of lidocaine to MEGX is used in liver function tests.
