misclassification
mis·clas·si·fi·ca·tion (mis″klas-ĭ-fĭ-kaґshən) assignment of subjects, values, or attributes to inappropriate groups or categories. In nondifferential m. the probability or direction of misclassification error is constant across all study groups while in differential m. it varies across the groups.
