- Mini·spor·i·da (min″e-sporґĭ-də) [mini- + spore] an order of parasitic protozoa (class Microsporea, phylum Microspora) having a general tendency toward minimum development of accessory spore organelles accompanied by maximum development of sporocysts, and characterized by spores without a well-developed polaroplast, usually with a relatively short polar tube, with little or no endospore.
