epiluminescence microscopy
epiluminescent microscopy a technique for the examination of pigmented skin lesions: the lesion is covered with an oil immersion and a glass slide to make the epidermis translucent and then is examined with a binocular microscope. Called also dermatoscopy and dermoscopy.
