chronic mediastinitis

chronic mediastinitis
any of numerous inflammatory conditions of the mediastinum, often secondary to a fungal or tuberculous infection; symptoms may be minimal or the result of obstruction of structures in the area. The most common specific condition is mediastinal fibrosis.
