maculae ceruleae

maculae ceruleae
small gray-blue macules found on the chest, abdomen, thighs, or upper arms in pediculosis pubis, especially noticeable in light-skinned individuals. They may be due to altered blood pigments in infested individuals or to an excretion product in the louse's saliva that converts bilirubin to biliverdin.
