radionuclide lymphoscintigraphy scintigraphy of the lymph nodes following the administration of radiocolloid, usually labeled with technetium 99m, which migrates to the lymph nodes, where it is retained by phagocytosis; uptake of the tracer is decreased in nodes containing metastatic tumor.
