hepatic lipase

hepatic lipase
a lipase acting at the endothelial surfaces of hepatic tissues (cf. lipoprotein lipase) to regulate the levels of plasma lipids. It participates in lipolysis of very-low-density and intermediate-density lipoproteins in the end stages of low-density lipoprotein formation and also in hydrolysis of phospholipids and triglycerides in the metabolism of high-density lipoproteins.
