Ewald's law

Ewald's law
vestibular nystagmus resulting from endolymph currents in a semicircular canal is in a direction parallel with the plane of that canal and opposite to the current; vestibular nystagmus caused by currents in horizontal canals is primarily from canals whose hair cells are bent towards the utricle.
