granulomatous hypophysitis
a rare chronic inflammatory disorder of the hypophysis, characterized histologically by diffuse collections of histiocytes and multinucleated giant cells surrounded by lymphocytes and plasma cells. Headache is the most common manifestation; nausea, vomiting, meningitis, hyperprolactinemia, and occasionally diabetes mellitus also occur.
