posthemorrhagic hydrocephalus

hydrocephalus in an infant following intracranial hemorrhage that has distended the ventricles and obstructed normal pathways for cerebrospinal fluid; in some infants it resolves spontaneously, but in others it leads to permanent neurodevelopmental deficits.
