α-glucosidase

α-glucosidase
α-glu·co·si·dase (gloo-koґsĭ-dās) [EC 3.2.1.20] any of a group of enzymes that catalyzes the hydrolysis of terminal, nonreducing 1,4-linked α-D-glucose residues, primarily in oligosaccharides but also in polysaccharides, with release of α-D-glucose. Called also maltase.
