erythema toxicum
erythema toxicum neonatorum a common benign, idiopathic, generalized, transient eruption seen in infants during the first week of life, usually consisting of small papules or pustules that become sterile, light colored, firm vesicles surrounded by an erythematous halo and edema. Called also e. neonatorum.
