Dysgonomonas
Dys·go·no·mo·nas (dis-gon″o-moґnəs) [dysgonic + Gr. monas unit, from monos single] a genus of gram-negative bacteria of the family Porphyromonadaceae, consisting of nonmotile, facultatively anaerobic, oxidase-negative, catalase-positive or -negative rods to coccobacilli. Organisms have been isolated from clinical specimens. The type species is D. gaґdei.
