- dopamine β-monooxygenase
- do·pa·mine β-mono·oxy·gen·ase (do″pə-mēn mon″o-oksґə-jən-ās) [EC 1.14.17.1] an enzyme of the oxidoreductase class that catalyzes the hydroxylation of dopamine to norepinephrine, simultaneously oxidizing ascorbate. It is a copper protein occurring in nervous tissue and the adrenal medulla. Called also dopamine β-hydroxylase.
