- Mycoplasma isolation culture medium
- an agar medium containing beef heart infusion, peptone, sodium chloride, horse extract, yeast extract, and penicillin; thallium acetate and amphotericin B may also be added to reduce bacterial and fungal contamination. A broth culture is made by omitting the agar. It is used for the culture and isolation of mycoplasmas.
