co·ba·mide (koґbə-mīd) 1. in chemical nomenclature, a derivative of cobalamin lacking the 5,6-dimethylbenzimidazole moiety. 2. a term sometimes used generically for any substituted compound containing this structure, particularly any cobalamin (def. 2).
