pulmonary blastomycosis
blastomycosis affecting primarily the lungs and bronchi; it often resolves with fibrosis or takes an indolent course, sometimes with cavitation and eventual spread to other organs. In some patients there is an acute onset of symptoms with acute respiratory distress syndrome that can be fatal.
