Trager Approach

Trager Approach
service mark for a bodywork technique whose purpose is to train patients to develop awareness of movement patterns that relieve pain and promote relaxation. It consists of two components: tablework, in which the practitioner, in a meditative state, uses touch and gentle passive movement to assist the person in experiencing new movement patterns, and Mentastics, in which the patient is taught a series of movements designed to relieve tension.
