amphiregulin
am·phi·reg·u·lin (am″fe-regґu-lin) a 78–amino acid glycoprotein, originally identified in cultures from human breast carcinoma cells; it is 38 per cent identical with epidermal growth factor and can inhibit the growth of several carcinoma cell lines while stimulating the proliferation of normal cells.
