Glasser disease

Glasser disease
a disease of young pigs, caused by infection by Haemophilus parasuis; symptoms include swelling of the hocks or knee joints or both, accompanied by fever, lameness, and a disinclination to move; in severe cases convulsions and death may occur. Called also infectious porcine polyarthritis and porcine polyserositis.
