hepatocellular adenoma

hepatocellular adenoma
a benign circumscribed tumor of the liver, usually in the right lobe; growth is in a sheetlike fashion and it may be highly vascular with a tendency to hemorrhage and with areas of necrosis. Women are affected more often than men and use of oral contraceptives has been implicated in some cases. Called also liver cell a.
