dox·a·pram hy·dro·chlo·ride (dokґsə-pram) [USP] a respiratory stimulant used in the treatment of respiratory depression occurring after anesthesia or acute respiratory insufficiency associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; administered intravenously.
