corrected transposition of great vessels

corrected transposition of great vessels
a developmental anomaly of the heart characterized by transposition of the great vessels with inversion of the ventricles and atrioventricular valves; termed “corrected” because the inverted ventricles compensate for the transposition, producing a mirror-image blood flow in the heart. Called also mixed levocardia.
