simple lymphangioma
lymphangioma simplex a lymphangioma composed of small lymphatic channels that tends to occur subcutaneously in the head and neck region or axilla and sometimes in internal organs. Superficial lesions present as slightly raised or sometimes nodular lesions; deeper lesions are sharply circumscribed, compressible, and gray to pink in color. Called also capillary l.
